  • What communication method does smart home system use?

It’s mostly wireless or WiFi, but other communication protocols like Z-wave, Zigbee, and even Bluetooth can be used.

  • Will my network support home automation?

It depends on your network equipment, and network traffic (how many things are connected to it).  The quality and performance expected of your “smart home” service depends on the bandwidth capacity of your internal router and switches.

  • Will you need to do any wiring to the house?

A lot of home automation devices, such as wired security cameras, DVRs, and even smart thermostats, will require wiring.  There is always a risk of danger when dealing with wires, unless you know what you’re doing.  Let us help.
